Pastor Samuel Oladele, the President, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Nigeria and Overseas, has charged Nigerians to exercise patience with President Bola Tinubu, and assured them of a brighter future.
Oladele gave the assurance while speaking with pressmen at the 2025 Pastors' Conference, on Wednesday, at Ikeji-Arakeji, with the theme: "Preparing God's People for Leadership".
He explained that leadership is a great task and challenging, so those in charge of the affairs of the government cannot be blamed or criticised, for the government is trying its best.
According to him, though things are hard and difficult for the citizenry presently, because the economy has been destabilised especially with the rate of unstable dollar at between N1,500/N1,600.
Oladele commended President Tinubu's achievements so far, which if God wishes for his second term would see the fruits of his labour and people will have every cause to appreciate him.
He called on the present government to enact policies that would pave the way for Nigerians to live meaningful lives, reduce difficulty and hardship, for them to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
According to him, corruption has become a culture in Nigeria and all over the universe, and lamented that there are no consequences across this nation even if caught, and called for God's intervention to minimise it.
Oladele emphasised that Nigeria is more religious, but if only Christians can live their lives as the light in the world there will be a better Nigeria.
"You don't need to be in government or be a politician before you can bring the needed change, so everyone needs to be the change we desire that this country wants.
"If those who attend churches live accordingly and the preachers are preaching the truth and living by example, there will be positive changes," he ascertained.
The CAC President therefore appealed to the pastors to ensure that they are born again, be good leaders by being trustworthy, loyal, accountable, for a leader without a good successor is a failure.
He charged the pastors to allow the word of God heard during the conference to fall on fertile land in their hearts, for it to bring much fruit that would benefit their lives and their members.
Oladele emphasised that the mantle of leadership can fall on anyone, but the church authorities will not hand over to those who will lower the standard after his retirement, for the church is blessed with capable ministers who are morally, spiritually, educationally and theologically fit.
