Salu of Edunabon, who doubles as the acting Chairman, Ife North Chieftaincy Committee, has congratulated Gov. Ademola Adeleke on his re-election.
Oba Adesoji Kehinde Oladepo, Akinrinsa II, said that despite the tough experience, he thanked God for giving him the privilege of victory, and he eventually won the governorship election of August 15.
According to him, the dissemination of the dividends of democracy to all nooks and crannies of Osun State surely spoke for him to win the race, for many ran the race and only one emerged as the winner.
He maintained that Gov. Ademola Adeleke did not win his re-election on a platter of gold but through his hard work, which includes his developmental projects in Edunabon, Ife North and Osun State at large.
The Salu of Edunabon, HRM Oladepo, therefore commended INEC, security operatives and the media for the good conduct of the free, fair and credible election without rancour.
The Salu of Edunabon also appreciated the electorate for their massive turnout, which was impressive, and their orderliness and law-abiding conduct throughout the exercise.
He therefore appealed to all Osun citizenry to support the incumbent governor by contributing their quota to the growth and development of Osun, more than ever before, for him to succeed, for "a tree cannot make a forest".
The Traditional Ruler also lauded the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, for his fatherly role, particularly on peace, as well as the Osun Council of Obas for their efforts to canvass for peaceful coexistence before, during and after the election.
