The High Chiefs Bode and Betty Osedimilehin (HCBBO) Foundation, has awarded scholarships to 40 public school students in Ile-Ife, Osun State, as part of activities marking the 2026 Olojo Festival.
The scholarship was presented to the beneficiaries on Saturday in collaboration with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, to support the educational development of young people in the ancient city.
The foundation said that the initiative was designed to promote academic excellence and provide educational support to deserving students from public schools in Ile-Ife.
According to the foundation, the 40 beneficiaries were carefully selected from public schools across the ancient city and would receive support to enhance their educational pursuits.
The founders, High Chiefs Bode and Betty Osedimilehin, congratulated the Ooni on the successful celebration of the 2026 Olojo Festival and prayed for his continued long life, good health and prosperity.
The foundation expressed appreciation for the opportunity to contribute to the educational advancement of the beneficiaries and support their academic aspirations.
It also prayed for continued blessings upon Ile Oodua and all individuals and organisations contributing to the growth and development of Ile-Ife.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Kehinde Ayodeji of Modakeke High School appreciated the HCBBO Foundation for the gesture and its commitment to supporting the education of young people.
Ayodeji promised that the beneficiaries would make good use of the opportunity and work diligently toward achieving excellent results in their West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and National Examinations Council (NECO) examinations.
She also prayed for the continued success of the HCBBO Foundation and its founders, while appreciating their contribution to the educational development of students in Ile-Ife.
