Salu of Edunabon appeals to IG to disregard alleged threats to life by one of his subjects

The Salu of Edunabon, Oba Adesoji Kehinde Oladepo, Akinrinsa II, has appealed to the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to disregard alleged threats to life levelled against him by one of his subjects, Adebayo Nasiru Bolawale.

The Salu of Edunabon made this assertion while briefing journalists on the real picture of the whole incident.

Oba Oladepo explained how Adebayo Nasiru Bolawale has been misbehaving since he lost in his bid to ascend the throne of Salu of Edunabon among twelve candidates that contested for the throne.

He added that the man in question has been terrorising the Edunabon territory through his unlawful attitude ranging from self-acclamation as the Salu of Edunabon without the appointment letter, staff of office and other criminal acts which are punishable in the court of law.

The Salu of Edunabon recalled how Adebayo Nasiru Bolawale instituted the same threat to life allegation against him some years back, but till date he has failed to substantiate his claim with any evidence either through report to the police or any lawful authority.

Oba Akinrinsa also explained how people and important dignitaries persuaded him to withdraw all his cases instituted against Adebayo Nasiru Bolawale because of his criminal acts and that he has been forgiven.

He said that he was so surprised again this time around that the same Adebayo Nasiru Bolawale would institute another threat to life allegation against him when he failed to prove the earlier one.

The Royal Father made it clear that he has no case regarding the Salu Edunabon stool with Adebayo Nasiru Bolawale, because his name was never mentioned in the legal procedure in the court.

If Adebayo Nasiru Bolawale fails to stop the act of tarnishing his reputable image, the Salu promised to re-open all his criminal cases which he has forgiven in the court of law.

Oba Oladepo reassured the people of Edunabon that his reign as Salu of Edunabon which started with peace will continue to be peaceful for them through developmental projects

The Salu of Edunabon therefore appreciated the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, for his fatherly role in ensuring peaceful coexistence in Edunabon, Ile-Ife and its environs.
