Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ile-Ife branch, has inaugurated its newly elected executive. Barr. Olawoye Festus emerged as the Chairman, Barr. Akanbi Oriyomi became Secretary, while Barr. Comfort Eyiolawi and Barr. Oluwatosin Ademola were elected Treasurer and Financial Secretary respectively.
The Inauguration and Swearing-in Ceremony of New Executives of NBA was held at Didara-Oluwa Event Centre, Omi-Okun Area, on Friday in Ile-Ife.
Hon. Justice Babafemi Akande, while swearing in the new executive, appreciated God for making the day a reality and thanked the outgoing Caretaker Committee for their commitment to promote the primary objective of the Bar.
Justice Akande charged lawyers to participate in politics for them to enjoy the national cake by holding political positions.

He admonished the newly elected executive to do it right by being transparent enough, open-minded, and promoting equity and equality among the members.
Earlier, the Chairman, Electoral Committee, Barr. Adeluyi Aduroja, acknowledged the NBA for the trust and confidence placed in them to conduct a free, fair, and credible election.
Aduroja stressed that they fulfilled their pledge of allegiance and loyalty to the bye-law by ensuring that candidates were properly scrutinized during the screening process.
He urged the Bar to remain united after the election, as political competition differences should not overshadow their shared mission.
Also, the Chairman, Outgoing Caretaker Committee, Barr. Olalere Olaobaju, applauded the Bar for giving them the opportunity to come on board when the branch was bedeviled with chaos and crisis.
Olaobaju attributed the grace of overcoming the crises to God, who put a new song of peace, joy, unity, and progress in their mouths.
He commended the committee members for their commitment and the cooperation with support received from well-meaning and progressive-minded members of the branch.
According to him, the committee members served with integrity, sincerity of mind, honesty, and fear of God, which made them achieve greatly in the restoration and maintenance of peaceful coexistence within the branch.
In his response, the newly elected Chairman, Barr. Olawoye Festus, appreciated Hon. Justice Babafemi Akande, the Outgoing Caretaker Committee, and all members of NBA Ife branch for deeming it fit to elect them.
Festus promised to adhere to all the advice given and assured them of transparency and accountability, saying that they will not disappoint them in all ramifications.
