The two Federal Lawmakers representing Osun State at the upper chamber, Sen.Fadeyi Olubiyi Ajagunla and Sen.Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, have debunked the rumour that their defection to APC was an advance team pending the defection the Gov Ademola Adeleke's deflection.
This is contained in a Press Release signed by Mr Ololade Adekunle, the Special Adviser on Media to Sen. Ajagunla, sent to Pressmen on Sunday,in Ile-Ife.
The two Lawmakers stated that the decision was necessary because of the welfare of his people representing and for the support of president Bola Hammed Tinubu.
According to them, the Senator representing Osun Central in the Senate Sen.Fadeyi Olubiyi Ajagunla and his counterpart ,Senator representing Osun East, Sen.Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi were voluntarily resigned their membership from the people's Democratic Party respectively.
Senator Ajagunla and Fadahunsi refused the claims added that they are nobody's Advance team but they defected on their own.
Senator representing Osun Central in the Senate, said that legislative arms are independent like other tiers of government, meanwhile they have authority to decide because they are not a stooge to any arms of government or authority as stipulated under Nigeria constitution
Sen. Ajagunla and Sen. Fadahunsi, therefore urged the people of Osun l and Nigeria as a whole to disregard the rumour been peddling around that their defection to All progressive Congress Osun was inform of Advance team saying they were neither protocol nor errand boys.
You will recalled that the three Senators representing Osun State in the Red Chambers had some months ago unanimously endorsed president Bola Hammed Tinubu second term bid.
