Prof. Wale Ladipo, Chairman, Imole Campaign Council, has commended Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun for his victory and developmental achievements across the state.
Ladipo gave the commendation during an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Sunday,in Ile-Ife.
He expressed happiness over Adeleke’s victory, saying that the governor deserved commendation for improving workers’ welfare, paying salaries regularly and settling outstanding obligations inherited from previous administrations.
According to him, workers’ salaries were now being paid on the 25th of every month, while retirees were duly paid, adding that the half-salary debt incurred under Gov. Rauf Aregbesola was also settled.
The Don explained that Adeleke’s administration has also revitalised primary healthcare centres, while the Osun State University (UNIOSUN), has recorded remarkable improvements in academic and infrastructural development.
The Chairman Imole Campaign Council further stated that UNIOSUN’s Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories were among the best in Southwest Nigeria, while the institution had achieved commendable rankings nationally among universities.
He also commended the governor for constructing and rehabilitating roads across the state, including Mokuro-Akarabata, Iremo-Palace, Olurin, Ife City and Garage-Oke, as well as other major projects.
Ladipo hesitated that Adeleke had also dualised roads in Iwo and Ilesa, while ensuring that every local government area benefited from road construction, including 1.5-kilometre tarred roads.
The Don expressed that the governor had provided security and peace in Osun, particularly through Amotekun, which, according to him, was deployed for security rather than political purposes.
He described Adeleke as accessible, humble and tolerant, saying the governor avoided politics of retaliation and continued to respect political opponents, including former governors who opposed him.
The chairman urged Osun residents to support, respect and remain loyal to Adeleke, describing him as a God-sent leader with good intentions, while encouraging opponents to retrace their steps.
Ladipo also urged people to emulate Adeleke’s commitment to praising God despite criticism, saying his humility, tolerance and devotion reflected inner strength and his determination to serve humanity.
