OluMoro Kingmakers expresses joy as the court lift ban on the Olumoro stool

The Olumoro Kingmakers on Thursday have expressed their joy over the verdict by the High Court of Justice, Ile-Ife, that lift ban on the selection of the Olumoro of moro


While speaking, one of the kingmakers, Chief James Adeyemo Adeagbo, the Molaage of Moro Kingdom, thanked God for giving them the victory over the kingship tussle over the selection of Olumoro for the past one and a half years.


The Molaage emphasised that their efforts were not proved abortive by the judgement delivered by Hon. Justice A.O.Ayoola, which ordered them to proceed with the selection of Olumoro.

According to him, soonest every indigene would rejoice and be glad when the right choice ascends the throne as Olumoro of Moro.

Chief Omolaage added that the Olumoro kingmakers have already selected Prince(Dr) Gideon Adebayo Oyeyemi as the Olumoro elect.

Also, Prince Olanrewaju Joseph Oluyimika, the Omolojuoba of Moro, who is also one of the Kingmakers, said that all the obstacles hindering the investiture of Olumoro since October last year have been removed.

The Omolojuoba, therefore, eulogised the court for delivering the right judgment to proceed with all the arrangements of the installation of Olumoro of Moro.

The Kingmakers unanimously implored the Osun State Government, under the able leadership of Gov. Ademola Adeleke, Dr., to expedite action on the approval of Olumoro elect, Prince (Dr) Gideon Adebayo Oyeyemi, for his substantive appointment as Olumoro of Moro.

Reacting to the court judgement, the Olumoro elect, Prince (Dr) Gideon Adebayo Oyeyemi, described it as a welcome development, putting an end to the embargo on the stool of Olumoro.

The Olumoro elect, Prince Gideon Adebayo Oyeyemi, thanked Gov. Ademola Adeleke and his administration for their support as well as applauded Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, for his fatherly role.

He also acknowledged Moremi Gbemisola Oyeyemi for standing by till date, including all and sundry that did not leave them behind, pledged that he will not disappoint them in all ramifications.
